KENOSHA, Wis. - The eighth-ranked Stevenson men's volleyball team posted its fifth win over a ranked team with a five-setter over No. 15 NYU before falling to third-ranked Carthage Saturday evening at Tarble Arena.

The Mustangs (18-6) posted their first five-set win in five tries this season with a 22-25, 25-22, 19-25, 25-17, 15-11 victory over NYU before falling to host Carthage in straight sets, 25-21, 25-16, 25-23.

In the opener versus Violets (9-10), senior Patrick Schuyler led his team in digs for the sixth straight game, totaling 13 while adding nine digs and two service aces. Joining Schuyler in double digit kills was freshman Landon Shorts and junior Michael Fehrs who finished with 12 and 11 kills, respectively.

Senior Rob Wingert recorded 46 assists, 10 digs, two kills and a service ace.

It was just the eighth time this season that Stevenson hit under .300. The team improved to 4-4 in those games. It was only the second time the Mustangs hit under .200, with both matches going to five sets.

Schuyler once again totaled a team-high in digs versus the host Red Men (20-1), finishing with 12. But the team had its worst hitting percentage of the season, hitting just .052. Stevenson finished with 25 errors compared to 30 kills.

Stevenson returns to action on Sunday, March 13 when the Mustangs face No. 10 MSOE beginning at 11:00 a.m.
