Box Score LANGHORNE, Pa. - Six different Mustangs totaled at least four kills as the eighth-ranked Stevenson men's volleyball team ran its win streak to 10 with a 25-17, 25-19, 25-21 Continental Volleyball Conference victory Friday evening.
The Mustangs (11-2, 6-0 CVC) continued its strong hitting with a .322 attack percentage, including .438 in the opening set. The team entered the day ranked fourth in the nation in hitting percentage.
Junior Nate Ellis totaled four kills on five swings, all in the opening set as Stevenson never trailed after winning six of the first eight points. Freshman Jason Gardner totaled four of his six kills in the opening set as well.
Sophomore Johnny Kimenhour finished with four kills and four total blocks as the Mustangs continue to be one of the nation's leaders in blocks. Stevenson ranked fifth at the beginning of the day with 2.51 blocks per set.
The Highlanders (3-7, 0-5 CVC) took an early 2-1 third set lead but it was short lived as the Mustangs won six of the next seven points. Tied at 17-17, Stevenson put down four kills while the hosts totaled four attack errors as the Mustangs won eight of the final 12 points.
Stevenson returns to action on Saturday, February 20 when the Mustangs face Endicott and No. 1 Springfield beginning at 5:00 p.m.
