Box Score FREDERICK, Md. – Behind a career-best 36 points from senior Erik Fisher, the Stevenson University men's basketball team completed a season sweep of Hood College with a 83-75 win in MAC Commonwealth action at BB&T Arena Tuesday night.
The win, the second straight for Stevenson (10-14, 8-7 MAC Commonwealth), moves the Mustangs into a four-way tie for third place in the conference standings with one game left to play. Stevenson closes out the regular season Saturday when it hosts league-leading Alvernia University at 1:00 at Owings Mills Gymnasium for Senior Day.
Fisher, who surpassed his career high of 32 points set last season, knocked down seven of his 10 three-point attempts and finished 12-17 from the floor, while also posting his 11th double-double of the season by grabbing 10 rebounds. Senior Christian Roberts flirted with a triple-double, registering 21 points, nine rebounds and eight assists, going 8-15 from the floor. The 85 points scored by Stevenson mark a season high.
Hood (12-12, 6-9 MAC Commonwealth), which was eliminated from the conference tournament race with the loss, was led by Davon Hill's 22 points off the bench.

Trailing 61-44 at the 10:10 mark, Hood used a 14-6 run to pull within nine, 67-58, with 5:34 left on a three-pointer by Hill. That would be as close as the Blazers would get until the final minute, when they cut the Mustang advantage to seven twice, but the guests went 6-6 at the free throw line late to secure the victory.
The Mustangs scored the game's first nine points and opened up a 17-5 lead six minutes into the game following Fisher's first three of the night. Stevenson led 27-15 when a 6-0 Hood spurt capped by a Daniel Wegener basket made it 27-21 at the 5:39 mark. The Blazers pulled within four with 1:30 remaining before halftime, 32-28, but the Mustangs pushed the lead to eight at intermission, 37-29.
Stevenson shot a season-best 57.4% from the floor and connected on 12 of its 22 three-point attempts (54.5%) while limiting the Blazers to 34.9% shooting in the second half and 38.5% for the game.
