Box Score HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Stevenson men's volleyball freshman Landon Shorts and junior Nate Ellis combined for 23 of the team's 46 kills as the Mustangs posted a 26-24, 25-22, 25-21 Continental Volleyball Conference Victory versus Juniata Friday evening at Memorial Gymnasium.
The Mustangs (7-2, 4-0 CVC), who had dropped five out of their last six versus Juniata prior to tonight's win, have posted six consecutive victories, all coming in straight sets. Four of those wins have come in conference play.
For the second straight game, Stevenson posted a season best hitting percentage as the Mustangs hit .443 in the match, including .542 in the final set.

With the Mustangs leading 23-20 in the opening set, the Eagles (3-5, 2-2 CVC) rallied off four of the next five points to tie the game at 24-24. But kills by Ellis and senior Patrick Schuyler gave the visitors the early one set lead.
Stevenson jumped out to a 10-5 lead in the second, including five straight points on the serve of Schuyler. Juniata would twice get within one, including 22-21, but this time the duo of Ellis and freshman Jason Gardner would help close out the set.
The two teams went back and forth in the third game, but once again the Mustangs were strong late as they recorded five of the final seven points.
Gardner tallied nine kills, three digs and two block assists while Schuyler finished with eight kills and six digs. Senior Kyle Pottieger totaled four kills and four block assists.
