Box Score OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson men's soccer junior Michael Tringali totaled a career-high 12 saves, but the Mustangs were outshot 24-9 and totaled just two shots on goal in a 2-0 loss versus Randolph-Macon Saturday afternoon at Mustang Stadium.
The Mustangs (3-4-1) were shutout for the second-straight game after totaling 14 goals in their first six games of the season, including six in their previous two wins.
Diego Tacaraya gave the Yellow Jackets (4-2) the early 1-0 goal lead in the 19th minute as Logan McHugh found Tacaraya in the middle of the box. McHugh would tally another assist late in the game as Tyler Slayton scored off McHugh's free kick in the 86th minute.
Senior Calvin Granger totaled three of Stevenson's nine shots, including both shots on goal. The Mustangs have totaled just 26 shots in their last three games after recording 83 in their previous four.
Randolph-Macon held a 9-3 advantage in corner kicks, including 6-3 in the second half.
Stevenson returns to action on Tuesday, September 22 when the Mustangs host No. 4 Franklin & Marshall at Mustang Stadium beginning at 4:00 p.m. The Diplomats, who were ranked No. 8, defeated the Mustangs 3-1 a season ago.
