Box Score 1 ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Stevenson women's volleyball team posted 92 digs in a four-set win over Neumann before holding DeSales to a .083 hitting percentage as the Mustangs won both matches Friday evening at the Buttermaker Tournament hosting by Muhlenberg College.
The Mustangs (7-1) have now won five-straight after posting a 25-12, 25-21, 7-25, 25-9 win over Neumann and recording a 25-16, 25-22, 25-17 straight-sets victory over DeSales.
In the win over the Knights (2-3), sophomore Annika Schwartz totaled 20 digs while juniors Kristen Brooks and Sara Bollinger and sophomore Karin Schleimer recorded, 14, 12 and 12 digs, respectively.
Stevenson's defense held Neumann to a .043 attack percentage while recording 12 block assists, including five by freshman Chelsea Ireland. Ireland and sophomore Lauren Weaver each recorded a game-high nine kills.
Meanwhile, Schwartz added five kills and four service aces.
The duo of Brooks and sophomore Deanna Bradbury led the Mustangs in the win over the Bulldogs (6-2) as Brooks totaled 11 kills and eight digs while Bradbury recorded a game-high 17 digs.
For the fourth-time this season, Stevenson recorded at least 10 service aces after totaling 10-plus aces just six times a season ago. Bollinger totaled three while Brooks and Schleimer each added two.
Stevenson returns to action on Saturday, September 12 when the Mustangs face Dickinson on day two of the Buttermaker Tournament. Game time is scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
