The loss snapped a 10-game winning streak for the Mustangs (16-5) who were held to their second-fewest goal total in 19 all-time meetings in the series and the least since losing 7-2 in the NCAA semifinals on May 20, 2012.
Andrew Ternahan also had three caused turnovers and seven ground balls as the nation's second-ranked defense held Stevenson to season-lows in both goals and shots. The Sea Gulls came in allowing just 5.68 goals per game.
Meanwhile, Nathan Blondino totaled four goals and five points for the seventh-best offense in Division III who was also 4-of-11 on extra-man opportunities as the Mustangs were penalized 10 times for a total of 9:30.

Senior Tony Rossi tied the game just 1:00 later off an assist from senior Colin Dabney, but led by two man-up goals from Thomas Cirillo and Blondino's first goal with 14:00 remaining in the third quarter, the Sea Gulls used a 6-0 run to take a 7-1 lead.
Blondino's goal came just 41 seconds after a second delay when the lights went out in Mustang Stadium for 19 minutes.
Junior Alex Hardwick scored his seventh of the season at 13:17 to stop the Mustangs' scoreless drought that lasted 29:09.
However, two more man-up goals by Burton and Cirillo, followed by Blondino's second goal of the game, pushed the Salisbury lead to eight, 10-2 with 10:06 left in the third.
Blondino, who didn't play in the first meeting between the two teams, a 9-8 Stevenson win in overtime, scored the final three goals for Salisbury, adding two more in the fourth.

Rossi finished with a goal and one assist while senior Billy Burgoyne added one goal to finish his career with 111 which ranks him sixth all-time in school history.
Making his first start against the Sea Gulls, junior Connor Skeen made 10 saves, but suffered his first loss in 10 decisions this season. Stevenson is now 4-4 in which its goalie is making his first career start in the series.
Salisbury (17-4) won for just the second time in the last five games in the series which dates back to 2007, but is 12-7 overall and 7-2 on the road.
