Tyler Fuhrman Totals Seven Points in No. 8 Mustangs' 21-3 Road Win at Arcadia

GLENSIDE, Pa. - Stevenson men's lacrosse sophomore Tyler Fuhrman scored a career-high seven points with four goals and three assists while the eighth-ranked Mustangs outscored Arcadia 11-0 over the second and third quarters en route to a 21-3 Commonwealth Conference victory Saturday at Easton Field.

Furhman was one of 14 players to register at least one point for Stevenson (9-4, 4-0 MAC) who extended its conference winning streak to 20. The Mustangs have outscored their opponents 72-13 in four conference games this season.

Stevenson jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the game's first 6:59 as senior Billy Burgoyne scored two of his three goals, the second of which was the game's only man-up tally in 12 tries. He now has 103 career goals, four behind Neal Barthelme for sixth on the school's all-time list.

Stevenson held the Knights to 0-for-9 with the extra-man and have allowed just two man-up goals in the last 16 attempts during its three-game win streak.

After Danny Riley scored unassisted with 3:44 remaining in the first quarter to put Arcadia on the board, sophomore Kyle D'Onofrio scored the second of his back-to-back goals for the Mustangs which sparked a 16-0 run to put the visitors in front 20-1 with 10:39 left in the fourth.

Nine different players scored for Stevenson during the run, including Fuhrman who totaled all four of his goals and three assists. Junior Matt Tompkins added three goals while senior Alex Nieves had three assists. Junior Pat Candon totaled two goals and one assist.

After Arcadia (3-8, 1-4 MAC) scored back-to-back goals midway through the fourth, junior Skye Sickles scored his first career goal in a Mustang uniform with 6:05 to play.

Stevenson outshot the Knights 62-23, including 39-4 in the first half. The Mustangs also held a 48-26 advantage in ground balls and won 21-of-28 faceoffs with senior Justin Buonomo going 8-for-8.

Junior Connor Skeen earned his third-straight win, making one save and allowing one goal in 30 minutes. Freshman Marc Poust made his first career appearance, stopping one shot over the final 6:05.

Joe Stanton led Arcadia with a goal and an assist while A.J. Beck made 14 saves over 44 minutes.

Stevenson travels to Alvernia on Wednesday for a 4:00 p.m., Commonwealth Conference contest wth the Crusaders.
