Stevenson, Md. - Despite singles victories from junior Conrad Ellis and sophomore Bryan Gieselman, the Stevenson men's tennis team dropped their season-opening match to Catholic, 6-3.
Ellis won his match in straight sets, 6-0, 6-1 over Catholic's Robert Alexander, while Gieselman overcame a one set deficit to take his match 3-6, 6-2, 7-4.
Ellis and Gieselman also competed in No. 1 doubles, dropping a close match, 8-6.
The other win for the Mustangs came from the No. 2 doubles team of juniors James Bishoff and Peter Hoblitzell. They won their match 8-3.
The Mustangs will be competing next on Saturday, September 20th as they host York College at 11:00 AM.
