No. 3 Mustangs Win 10th Straight with 15-1 Victory Over Hood

FREDERICK, Md. - Led by four points from junior Colin Dabney, the No. 3-ranked Stevenson men's lacrosse team posted its 10th-straight victory and 12th in the Commonwealth Conference with a 15-1 victory over Hood Wednesday night at Thomas Athletic Field.

The Mustangs (11-1, 4-0 MAC) have allowed just one goal and 24 shots in the past two games, outscoring those opponents 45-1 and totaling 192 shots. The team is now 12-0 in the Commonwealth Conference since joining the league last season and has outscored those opponents, 234-48.

Stevenson held a 2-0 lead after the first quarter with both goals coming from freshman Tyler Fuhrman. The Mustangs would add six more second quarter goals as the Blazers (3-9, 0-4 MAC) tallied their lone goal of the game with 2:07 remaining before halftime.

Twelve different players tallied a point for the Mustangs, including three by senior Chris Dashiell who finished with one goal and two assists. Junior Glen Tompkins, the team's leading scorer, added two goals as he has totaled a point in all but one game this season.

Sophomore Dimitri Pecunes totaled four saves in 50:00 minutes of play before giving way to junior Kevin Cain.

Hood was led by goalie Joseph McCulloh who made a career-best and Division III season-high 34 saves, including 11 in the third quarter.

The Mustangs forced 46 turnovers and totaled 24 caused turnovers, including six by sophomore Callum Robinson and four by junior Connor Curro.

Stevenson is on the road for the second-straight game on Saturday, April 12 when it travels to Lebanon Valley for a Commonwealth Conference contest. Opening face-off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
