OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson men's volleyball sophomore Robert Wingert totaled 14 assists to go along with four digs while seniors Austin Jacoby and Jon Martin combined for 23 kills as the 15th-ranked Mustangs posted a 25-15, 25-21, 25-22 CVC victory over Cairn Wednesday at Owings Mills Gymnasium.

Stevenson (14-6) improved its record to 4-1 at home this season with its seventh-straight win over the Highlanders.

During the second set, which featured eight ties, the Mustangs started out behind 0-2 before a kill by Martin and an attack error by the Highlanders, tied the score at 2-2. Stevenson took an 8-4 lead before Cairn rallied back tying the score at 9-9. At 18-18 the Mustangs went on a four-point run after two kills and an ace from Jacoby and an attack error from the Highlanders.

The third set included 14 ties and three lead changes as the Mustangs led the set late at 16-15, finishing the set with 16 kills and 12 digs.

For the match, Jacoby totaled 15 kills on only two errors, posting a .520 hitting percentage, while Martin added eight kills on only one error, posting a .583 hitting percentage. Junior Kyle Wisner added five kills, while junior Wesley Richardson and sophomore Kyle Pottieger each added four kills.

Sophomore Robert Wingert totaled 14 assists and four digs, while sophomore Patrick Schuyler added six digs.

Josiah Buss, Ryan Garven, and Randall Colson led Cairn with seven kills each, while Matt Rhodes added 10 digs and Jon Wilson had 25 assists.

Stevenson travels to New Jersey for the Kean Invitational this Friday and Saturday. The Mustangs face No.13 Kean on Friday at 7:00 p.m., respectively, before wrapping up against No. 9 Elmira and York (N.Y.) at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
