Box Score GLENSIDE, Pa. - Led by goals from senior Caitlin Dempsey and freshman Judi Neff in the game's first 16 minutes, the Stevenson field hockey team held a 2-1 lead, but Arcadia scored the final three, including two in the second half, en route to a 4-2 Commonwealth Conference victory Saturday at Easton Field.
Stevenson (7-5, 0-2 MAC) is just 1-3 on the road this season after going 7-5 a year ago and have lost five of its six Commonwealth Conference contests.
Dempsey opened the scoring with her 12th goal of the season just 8:37 into the game to give the Mustangs an early 1-0 advantage. It was also her 38th goal in 50 career games at Stevenson.
Debbie Wolf tied the game just over three minutes later for the Knights (7-5, 1-1 MAC) before Neff netted her second career goal with 19:05 remaining off an assist from senior Alison Kagel.
Amanda Hess scored the game-tying and game-winning goals back-to-back in the 26th and 61st minutes, repsectively, before Katrina Dull added an insurance tally just 2:03 later off a feed from Taylor Dalisera, her second assist of the game.
Brittany Hodson tallied five saves in goal for the Knights while sophomore Gabriella Brooks had seven saves for the Mustangs.
Arcadia had a 24-13 advantage in shots, including 16-8 in the first half and an 18-3 advantage on penalty corners with a 12-2 margin in the first.
Stevenson begins a three-game homestand on Wednesday, October 8 when they host former Capital Athletic Conference rival York (Pa.) at 4:00 p.m. The Mustangs are 4-2 at Mustang Stadium this season.
