Box Score READING, Pa. - Stevenson men's basketball sophomore Christian Roberts scored a team-high 20 points, but Albright erased a 13-point second half deficit en route to an 89-82 Commonwealth Conference victory Wednesday at George C. Bollman Center.
The Mustangs (9-3, 4-1 MAC) shot under 40.0 percent from the floor for just the third time this season. The team's three losses have come by a combined nine points.
Stevenson started the game on a 9-2 run, capped by a three-pointer by sophomore Erik Fisher. It was one of five first half three-pointers as the team shot 45.9 percent from the floor.
Junior Colby Giacubeno hit his third three-pointer to give the Mustangs their largest lead of the game at 61-48 with 12:21 remaining in the second half.
Giacubeno, who has made 10 three-pointers in the past four games, finished with 11 points. He has connected on 41.7 percent of his three-point attempts during that span.
The game featured eight ties and 13 lead changes, the last of which came with 2:57 remaining when Albright took their first lead of the half.
The Mustangs had five players score in double figures for the second straight game and third time this season.
Fisher finished with 11 points while senior Alfonzo Hawkins and junior Justin Kuntz each chipped in with 13.
Kuntz added 12 rebounds to post his second straight double double and fourth this season.
Albright was led by Kyle Jordan who led all scorers with 25 points while Pedro Perez added a double double with 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Stevenson outrebounded the Lions 43-38 while also scoring 21 points off 22 Albright turnovers.
The Mustangs return to action on Saturday, January 11 when they host Lebanon Valley in a Commonwealth Conference contest beginning at 1:00 p.m. Last season Stevenson swept the Dutchmen, including a 93-75 victory at home.
