Box Score 2 BALTIMORE, Md. - Stevenson women's volleyball freshman Kristen Brooks (Wilmington, Del./Concord) totaled a career high 11 kills as the Mustangs picked up two victories over Cabrini and Gwynedd Mercy at the Giovanazzi Memorial Tournament hosted by Johns Hopkins Friday.
The Mustangs (7-0) defeated Cabrini 25-15, 25-15, 25-20 before posting a 25-10, 25-12, 25-11 win over Gwynedd Mercy. Stevenson has yet to drop a set in seven matches played this season.
In game one, sophomore Imani Hudson (Burke, Va./Thomas Edison) and senior Christine Isenberg (Taneytown, Md./Francis Scott Key) combined for 23 kills, 18 digs and five blocks. Junior Samantha Perillo (Wilmington, Del./Wilmington) finished with a game-high 16 digs.
Stevenson posted a season-high 61 digs while holding the Cavaliers (4-1) to a .019 hitting percentage.
In game two, Brooks led the team with a game-high 11 kills, finishing the day with 18. Freshman Sara Bollinger (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) added a career-high 17 assists.
The Mustangs held the Griffins (1-4) to just nine kills.
Stevenson will wrap-up the Giovanazzi Memorial Tournament, Saturday when the face N.C. Wesleyan at 12:00 p.m. followed by host Johns Hopkins at 4:00 p.m.
