Conrad Ellis Leads Mustangs in a 9-0 Loss at Catholic

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Stevenson men's tennis sophomore Conrad Ellis (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) had the tightest contest match at No. 3 singles, forcing three sets but ultimately fell 2-6, 6-4, 6-1 as the Mustangs were swept by Catholic 9-0 Sunday afternoon.

Senior Anthony Carle (Reisterstown, Md./Franklin) and sophomore Peter Hoblitzell (Towson, Md./Towson) won five and three games at No. 5 and No. 3 singles, respectively.

The closet doubles match was at No. 2 doubles where Ellis and freshman Bryan Gieselman (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) fell 8-5.

Stevenson returns to action in the spring, on Wednesday, March 5 when they host Maryland Eastern Shore at Greenspring Tennis Courts beginning at 2:00 p.m.
