DALLAS, Pa. – The Mustangs defeated the Cougars of Misericordia University this afternoon only conceding a single game.
In singles action, two Mustangs only conceded a single game. Freshmen Conrad Ellis (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) and Peter Hoblitzell (Towson, Md./Towson) both won in straight sets, allowing a mere game at No. 2 and No. 5 singles, respectively.
Also posting straight set victories were freshmen Neil Baker (Abington, Md./Edgewood) at No. 1 singles, senior Nick Dunlap (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall) at No. 3 singles, and junior Anthony Carle (Reisterstown, Md./Franklin) at No. 4 singles.
The Mustangs swept all the doubles matches only conceding a total of six games in all three matches. No. 3 duo of Hoblitzell and senior Eric Belton (Millersville, Md./Old Mill) was the only Mustang pair to not concede a single game.
The Mustangs return to play tomorrow at home where they face the Seahawks of St. Mary's College of Maryland.
