Box Score LANGHORNE, Pa. - Stevenson men's volleyball junior Austin Jacoby (Sellersville, Pa./Pennridge) had a game-high 13 kills to lead the No. 9 Mustangs, defeating Cairn in straight sets 25-15, 25-23, 25-19 Wednesday night at Mason Activity Center.
Tonight's matchup was originally scheduled for March 6 but was postponed due to snow.
Stevenson (15-8, 3-1 CVC) takes a half-game lead in the East Division ahead of No. 4-ranked Juniata and Thiel, who both sit at 2-1. The Eagles and Tomcats look to join the Mustangs atop the standings when they meet next Wednesday, March 27.
Sophomore David Moler (York, Pa./Central York) finished with 34 assists while juniors Adam Thatcher (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) and Jon Martin (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) totaled a game-high in digs with 11.
Sophomore Kyle Wisner (York, Pa./Central York) joined Moler in amassing 12 of the team's 20 total blocks. Moler's six total blocks ties a career-high set on Feb. 5, 2012 in a 3-1 victory against Elmira.
The Highlanders (7-14, 1-3 CVC) were led by Ryan Garven who totaled 12 kills, seven digs and four total blocks.
Stevenson hosts a two-day quad-match beginning Friday when it faces Eastern Mennonite at 8:00 p.m. The Mustangs will also play No. 7 SUNY New Paltz Saturday at 12:00 p.m. followed by Penn State Altoona at 4:00 p.m.
