Box Score

OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Playing in its final game of the 2012-13 season, the Stevenson women's basketball team seemed inspired as it was tied with No. 20 Lebanon Valley with 8:32 remaining in the game before the Dutchmen finished with a 22-8 run en route to a 73-59 victory Saturday at Owings Mills Gymnasium on Senior Day.

The Mustangs (7-16, 4-14 MAC) held a 30-36 halftime lead after getting a complete team effort in the first half in which eight players had at least two points and nine grabbed at least one rebound.

The first half was even statistically as each team totaled 20 rebounds and had seven assists while Lebanon Valley had six steals compared to five for Stevenson. The difference came from the three-point line where the Mustangs were 6-for-16. They also forced 13 Dutchmen turnovers.

Lebanon Valley (21-4, 15-3 MAC) used an 11-0 run over the first 2:50 of the second half to take a seven-point lead before stretching it to nine, 46-37 with 13:46 to play.

However, a 14-5 run by Stevenson, keyed by eight points from freshman Stephanie Martinez (Freehold Township, N.J./Freehold Township), tied the game at 51-51 with just under nine minutes left.

Martinez finished the game with 14 points, six rebounds and four three-pointers. She concludes her first season with the Mustangs with 53 three-pointers in just 23 games, two shy of the single-season school record set by Tara Galvin with 55 in 2008-09. Tonia Cristino is second with 54 in 2007-08.

Sophomore Kayla Kelly (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial) had 11 points, seven rebounds and four assists while senior Sam Murray (Reisterstown, Md./St. Paul's School for Girls) totaled six points and six rebounds in her final collegiate contest.
