STEVENSON, Md. - Despite the efforts of Stevenson men's tennis freshmen Conrad Ellis (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) and Peter Hoblitzell (Towson, Md./Towson), the Mustangs dropped their second match of the Fall season Thursday, swept by Catholic, 9-0.
Hoblitzell teamed with junior Anthony Carle (Reisterstown, Md./Franklin) at No. 3 doubles for the most competitive matchup of the day, losing 8-5 to the Cardinal tandem of Schuyler Hayward and Joe Trinity.
Ellis along with senior Nick Dunlap (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall) competed at No. 2 doubles losing 8-2 to Kyle Kramer and Joe Peters.
Ellis won the most games at No. 3 singles with six, but fell to Hayward 6-2, 6-4.
Stevenson will conclude its Fall season at the MAC Individual Championship at Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. on October 13-14.
