STEVENSON, Md. - Stevenson men's tennis sophomore James Bishoff (York, Pa./York Catholic) had the tightest contest match at No. 1 singles, forcing three sets but ultimately fell 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 as the Mustangs were swept by York (Pa.) 9-0 Sunday afternoon at the Greenspring Tennis Courts.
Senior Nick Dunlap (Baltimore, Md./Calvert Hall) and freshman Conrad Ellis (Baltimore, Md./Archbishop Curley) won five and four games in losses at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively.
As the match was already decided, a pro set decided the No. 6 singles match in which freshmen Peter Hoblitzell (Towson, Md./Towson) took Mario Herrera to the limit in an 8-6 defeat.
Stevenson returns to action on Thursday as they host Catholic at 2:00 p.m. A ribbon cutting ceremony to dedicate the new Greenspring Tennis Courts will precede the match at 1:00 p.m.
