SALISBURY, Md. - Katie Bollhorst totaled six points on three goals and three assists to lead No. 1 Salisbury to a 9-4 victory over No. 17 Stevenson Tuesday at Sea Gull Stadium in the semifinals of the CAC Women's Lacrosse Championship.

After the Mustangs (9-7) pulled within one for the second time in the game at 5-4, the Sea Gulls scored the game's last four goals over the final 19 minutes to avoid their first loss of the season and advance to the conference championship for the 10th-straight season.

Salisbury (17-0) took a 4-1 lead in the game's first 21 minutes before Stevenson scored back-to-back goals from senior Kelly Lekas (Timonium, Md./Dulaney) and sophomore Leah Warner (Pasadena, Md./Northeast) to pull within one with 51 seconds remaining in the first half.

However, the Sea Gulls' Brittany Baer scored the first of her two goals off an assist from Bollhorst with just seven seconds left to take a 5-3 halftime lead.

Sophomore Marissa Meiklejohn (Severn, Md./Old Mill) netted her second goal of the game only 1:48 into the second half to pull the Mustangs back within one, but that would be as close as they would get as Salisbury scored the final four goals of the game to remain unbeaten in 10 home games this season.

Led by three caused turnovers and two ground balls from freshman Meg Gill (White Hall, Md./North Harford), the Stevenson defense held the Sea Gulls to their lowest goal total of the season. Salisbury entered the game ranked fourth in Division III with 238 goals.

Senior Jenny Schroeder (Severna Park, Md./Seton Keough) and Sea Gull keeper Hannah Whiteley each finished with five saves.

Senior Lauren Taguding (Baltimore, Md./Towson) had four draw controls while senior Laura Grammer (Parkville, Md./Perry Hall) had three as the Mustangs held a 9-6 advantage.

Stevenson concludes its 2012 season with a 9-7 record after receiving its highest-ever ranking in Tuesday's IWLCA Division III Coaches' Poll.
