Box Score LA PLUME, Pa. - Keystone leading scorer and rebounder Kenneth Hardnett totaled his ninth double double of the season with 17 points and 10 rebounds while the Giants scored 26 points off turnovers in posting a 97-65 victory over the Stevenson men's basketball team Monday night at the Gambal Athletic Center.
The Mustangs (3-8) shot 45.2 percent from the floor and held a 37-32 edge in rebounds, but Keystone made 11 three-pointers and scored at least 90 points for the fifth time in 10 games this season en route to its four-straight victory.
Over the last two seasons, the Giants (8-2) have posted a 29-8 record, including a mark of 14-2 at home.
Sophomore Stefon McCray (Milton, Fla./Archbishop Curley) led Stevenson with 12 points and nine rebounds while junior Brett Burrier (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) added 11 points and eight rebounds.
Dargan Miles scored a game-high 20 points for Keystone to lead six players in double figures. Dan Candemeres had 19 points, 15 of which came from three-point range where he was 5-for-8. Miles was 4-for-8 from behind the arc and 6-of-10 from the free throw line.
The Giants never trailed in the game and holding a 14-13 lead with 13:39 left in the first half, embarked on a 15-5 run to extend its lead to 11 with 10:40 remaining.
The Mustangs would cut the lead to three, 38-35 with 4:02 to play following a lay-up by senior Greg Collins (Baltimore, Md./Western Tech), but Keystone closed the half with a 17-2 run to take an 18-point lead into the break, 55-37.
Candameres led the Giants with 14 points in the opening half, hitting four three-pointers, while Dargan and Mike Kelly each had 12.
Collins finished with 11 points and five assists while sophomore Joe Hindle (Clarksville, Md./River Hill) added 10. Junior Andrew Bishop (Lothian, Md./Southern) had a season-high eight points.
Stevenson hosts future MAC rival Lebanon Valley at Owings Mills Gymnasium on Saturday, January 7 beginning at 4:00 p.m.
