Box Score OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Playing its third top-10 opponent in the last six games, the Stevenson field hockey team held CAC rival and No. 1-ranked Salisbury to its third-lowest goal total of the season, but the Sea Gulls scored three first half goals in a span of 11 minutes en route to a 4-0 victory Wednesday at Mustang Stadium.
The Mustangs (3-7, 1-1 CAC) held the Sea Gulls without a goal for the first 20 minutes until Kristin Fusco scored on a penalty stroke in the upper right hand corner to give her team a 1-0 lead.
Courtney Webster then added her team-leading ninth goal of the season only eight minutes later off an assist from Caitlin Walker before Walker scored on a feed from Webster just three minutes later to give Salisbury a 3-0 halftime lead.
Fusco added her second goal of the game with an unassisted tally less than four minutes into the second half to provide the final four-goal margin for the Sea Gulls.
Fusco finished with four points while Webster and Walker each had three.
Junior Kelsi Zimmerman (Odenton/Arundel) finished with 10 saves, three shy of her career-high set versus Rowan last Saturday while freshman Margaret Gill (White Hall/North Harford) added a defensive save.
