Box Score OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson women's lacrosse seniors Lisa Baker (Westminster/Westminster) and Megan Weiss (Odenton/Seton) each scored a goal in their final career home games, but the Mustangs were held to a season-low four in a 9-4 loss to No. 17 Elizabethtown Thursday at Caves Athletics Complex.
Stevenson (10-7) finishes the regular season with its record fourth-straight 10-win season as Baker and Weiss have combined to lead the Mustangs to a 43-25 record and four consecutive CAC Women's Lacrosse Championship appearances during that time.
After freshman Mandy Marston (Baltimore/Institute of Notre Dame) gave Stevenson a 1-0 lead with a free position goal in the game's seventh minute, the Blue Jays (14-3) seized control by scoring the game's next four to take a 4-1 lead with 4:15 remaining in the first half.
Marston led the team with two points with one goal and one assist.
Weiss, who has scored at least 40 goals in three-straight seasons while leading the team in each of the last two, netted her 42nd of the year with 1:22 left to cut the Mustangs' deficit to two at the half.
However, the Blue Jays scored the first three goals of the second half, including two from leading scorer Sarah Cullinan, to push their advantage to five at 7-2 with just over 15 minutes to play. She finished with a game-high five points on three goals and two assists as Elizabethtown won its fifth-straight road game.
Baker added her 38th goal of the season with 13:12 remaining for her 62nd point of the season, moving her into fourth on the school's single season list. It was also the 148th goal of her career, tying her with former teammate Lauren Zegowitz '10 for second all-time.
Stevenson held the Blue Jays to its second-lowest goal total of the season, but could not overcome 28 turnovers. The Mustangs were also just 1-of-5 on free position shots.
Junior Jenny Schroeder (Severna Park/Seton Keough) finished with eight saves while freshman Marissa Meiklejohn (Glen Burnie/Old Mill) also scored for Stevenson.
