Box Score FREDERICK, Md. - Playing in his hometown, Stevenson men's basketball freshman Seth Kraham (Frederick/Tuscarora) scored a career-high 12 points to go along with a team-high six rebounds, but the Mustangs shot just 25.5 percent from the floor in dropping an 87-46 loss to Hood Saturday at Fort Detrick's Odom Fitness Center.
Stevenson (6-16, 2-11 CAC) trailed 41-17 at halftime after going 3-for-22 from the floor in the first half, including 1-for-11 from three-point range. The Mustangs totaled 10 of their 17 points from the free throw line where they were 10-for-16.
Stevenson trailed by just four, 12-8 with 12:20 remaining in the opening half before the Blazers closed the half on a 29-9 run to take a 24-point halftime lead.
Senior Greg Woody (Baltimore/Mount Saint Joseph) scored six first half points while sophomore Brett Burrier (Westminster/Winters Mill) had four in his first game since January 15.
Kraham totaled nine points and four rebounds in the second half as the Mustangs were 10-of-29 from the field, but 1-of-8 from three-point range. They were also 8-of-18 from the free throw line.
Meanwhile, the Blazers (11-10, 7-6 CAC) shot 54.1 percent from the floor and were led by 20 points from Cameron Cook. Brenden Straughn finished with 12 points and nine assists and LaVar Rich added 13 points.
Stevenson travels to York (Pa.) on Wednesday. Game time is at 8:00 p.m.
