Box Score STEVENSON, Md. - For the second-straight
season, the Stevenson men's and women's basketball teams will be
help raise money in the fight against breast cancer by taking part
in the WBCA's Pink Zone.
Due to heavy snow and winter weather, the event was postponed
from Saturday, January 30 and rescheduled to Wednesday, February 17
when the teams host a CAC doubleheader versus York (Pa.) at Student
Union Gymnasium. The women's game will begin at 5:00 p.m., followed
by the men's at 7:00 p.m.
Last year's event raised over $1,500 with the proceeds being
donated to Susan G. Komen Maryland.
Fans are encouraged to wear pink and there will be free
Pink Zone-themed giveaways, pizza, soda and cotton candy as well as
a silent auction, 50-50 raffle and contests.
Items in the silent auction include Ravens and Orioles
autographed memorabilia as well as team specific items donated by
the athletic department.
In addition, there will be performances by the Stevenson cheer
and dance teams and all money raised through ticket sales will be
donated for research in the fight against breast cancer.
