COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Six players totaled at least three points as the No. 7-ranked Stevenson University men's lacrosse team scored 16 goals for the second-straight week against a team from the Centennial Conference in its 16-7 win over Ursinus Saturday at Eleanor Frost Snell Alumnae Field.

The Mustangs (4-0) outshot the Bears 61-24 and won 17 out of 24 faceoffs en route to their seventh-straight regular season victory.

Senior Steve Kazimer (Syracuse, N.Y./Henninger) led the charge with a season-high six points, totaling two goals and four assists.

The quartet of senior Greg Furshman (Miami, Fla./Towson), juniors Richie Ford (Baltimore/Towson) and Nic Bevacqua (Boonton Township, N.J./Mountain Lakes) and sophomore Jimmy Dailey (Westminster/Winter Mills) each added four points.

Furshman, Ford and Bevacqua each had hat tricks with three goals apiece while Dailey had three assists.

Furshman finished the game with four points and four ground balls and went 9-for-12 on faceoffs.

Similar to the Gettysburg game, Stevenson trailed 2-1 in the first quarter before scoring 10 of the next 11 goals to take an 11-3 lead with 7:37 remaining in the third quarter. Kazimer hand a hand in five of those 10 goals, scoring twice and assisting on three more.

Dailey did all of his scoring during the run while Bevacqua, who scored three of the Mustangs' first six goals, had two goals and one assist.

Also during that time, senior Austin Hale (Baltimore/Eastern) and freshman Brian Badolato (Boontontap, N.J./Mountain Lakes) picked up their first goals of the season. For Hale, it was the second of his career.

After a slow start, Stevenson outscored Ursinus 12-5 over the final three quarters during which it also held a 45-16 edge in shots and won 14 of 17 faceoffs.

The Mustangs used four different players in goal, led by junior Geoff Hebert (Lutherville/Dulaney) who made eight saves in earning his fourth win in his fourth career start.

Seniors Eric Fleegle (Easton/St. Peter & Paul) and Chris Carroll (Deale/Southern) also saw time in net as did junior Andrew Harrington (Cambridge/South Dorchester).

Senior Mike Simon (Fallston/Fallston) and sophomore Evan Douglass (Exeter, N.H./Exeter) continued to lead the defense as both combined for seven ground balls and five caused turnovers.

Eric Farris scored six of the seven goals for Ursinus (1-2) while Dan Monzo and Pat Gillen each added two points.

Stevenson opens CAC play at St. Mary's (Md.) on Wednesday. Game time is at 3:00 p.m.
