York earned two wins against the Mustangs in their double-header
in today's non-conference competition. The Mustang highlight
of the day was freshman Sarah Moelter
(Timonium, MD/ Dulaney) pitching a no-hitter during the
second game of the day.
In the first game, the Mustangs fell 8-1. Jessical
O'Neill (Howard County, MD/ Howard) had the lone run for
the Mustangs during the first inning that gave the Mustangs
the first lead of the day. However, they remained scoreless
for the remainder of that game.
In the second game, Villa Julie lost 2-1. York scored two
unearned runs in the first inning and did not score for the rest of
the game. The Mustangs were down 2-0 coming into the 7th
inning but Jacquelyn Dorsey (Eldersburg, MD/
Liberty) was the only player that managed to make it home.
The Mustangs fell one run short of the win.
Today's losses brings the Mustangs' record to 4-8. They
return to their homefield on Saturday, March 24, to take on
Washington College at 1:00 pm.
