Brooklyn, NY. - Villa Julie earned their
tenth consecutive win while on the road at Polytechnic
University.
The Mustangs began the scoring with a good free-throw by
Ely Richardson (Hartford, CT / Suffield
Academy). After only ten minutes of play, the Mustangs
extended their lead to 13 points after a lay-up by Phil
Williams (District Heights, MD / Bishop McNamara) assisted
by Jason Lambert (Bloomfield, CT
/ Kingswood Oxford). They maintained the lead throughout the
first half, 48-40.
The Mustangs closed the game leading by 25 points. Two
Mustangs had double-doubles. Richardson led
with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and four steals while Steven
Segears (Lanham, MD / St. Johns College HS) added 22
points, 11 rebounds, and four assists.
Lambert also contributed 14 points.
This win improves Villa Julie's record to 15-7 (12-2). The
Mustangs return to the court on Tuesday, February 13 at 8:00 p.m.
as they travel to Philadelphia Biblical University.
