Salisbury, MD- The Mustangs receive their first
loss of the season in the first round of the Provident Pride of
Maryland Tournament. At the half, the game was tied at
35. The Mustangs were holding the lead at the end of the
second half when Salisbury's Ray Williams managed a three-point
shot to tie the game again at 73, forcing overtime play.
Salisbury managed to earn 11 points, while the Mustangs only
grabbed 10, resulting in the final loss of 84-83.
Williams of Salisbury led in scoring with 39 points. For
the Mustangs, Steven Segears (Lanham, MD/St. Johns
College H.S) had 21 points and Phil Williams
(District Heights,MD/Bishop McNamara) had 19.
The Mustangs return to the court on Saturday, November 25, at
Goucher where they will continue in the Provident Pride of Maryland
Tournament.
