York, PA- The Mustangs traveled to York
College for their first match of the season. The
Mustangs were trailing behind the Spartans at the end of the first
half 35-29. In the second half, the Mustangs came back to tie
the game with only 8 seconds left. After two successful
free-throws by Phillip Williams (District
Heights,MD/Bishop McNamara), the Mustangs took the lead and the
eventual win, 71-69.
Five of the Mustangs earned double-figures. Chris
Warren (Largo, MD/Bishop McNamara), Kerry
Dugan (Sparks, MD/Hereford), and Greg
Woody (Baltimore, MD/Mt. St. Joseph's) earned 12 points
each while Jason Lambert (Bloomfield, CT/Kingswood
Oxford) had 11 and Williams had 10. Senior Steven
Segears (Lanham, MD/St. Johns College H.S) contributed 12
rebounds.
With a full team effort, the Mustangs begin their season with a
1-0 record. The Mustangs return to the court on November 21
as they compete in the Provident Pride of Maryland Tournament at
Salisbury University.
