Sara Ropski joined the Stevenson University Athletic Communications staff as an Assistant Athletic Communications Director on January 23, 2023. She was promoted to Associate Athletic Communications Director in July 2025 before being named Director of Athletic Communications in November 2025.
As Director of Athletic Communications, Ropski serves as the primary media contact for women's beach volleyball, field hockey, women's soccer, men's and women's ice hockey, and men's and women's lacrosse. She oversees the department's media strategy and content across all platforms, and manages a staff of more than 60 student employees and 13 interns.
Since arriving at Stevenson, Ropski has been recognized as a member of the inaugural NCAA Division III Emerging Elite class in 2024 and the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) 30 Under 30 class. She has strengthened collaboration between Athletics, the Student Government Association (SGA), and the University's student-athletes, launched the department's Mustang Monthly newsletter, and plays an integral role in the annual Campaign for Mustang Athletics. Beyond Athletics, Ropski is actively involved across campus as a member of Stevenson's Green Zone Initiative, supporting military-affiliated students, and serves as the coordinator of the University's SALUTE Veterans National Honor Society chapter.
In 2024, Ropski took a military leave of absence after being deployed to Somalia in the Horn of Africa in support of U.S. military combat operations.
Prior to Stevenson, Ropski spent one year at Lebanon Valley College as the Associate Director of Athletic Communications and an assistant women's lacrosse coach. She served as the primary communications contact for men's and women's soccer, volleyball, men's and women's ice hockey, and men's and women's lacrosse while also coaching the Flying Dutchmen goalkeepers.
Before beginning her career in collegiate athletics, Ropski served two years on active duty with the Pennsylvania Army National Guard, culminating as the state's Awards Noncommissioned Officer in Charge at the Pennsylvania Joint Force Headquarters.
A 2020 graduate of Neumann University, Ropski earned a bachelor's degree in Communications and Digital Media. During her time at Neumann, she was a three-year member of the women's lacrosse team while working in the Sports Information Office, serving as the primary communications contact for men's and women's soccer, field hockey, and men's and women's ice hockey. She was honored with the East-COMM Bill Esposito Memorial Award and the Neumann Athletics MVP Award for her dedication and commitment to the field of athletic communications.
Following her undergraduate studies, Ropski earned a master's degree in Strategic Communications from Liberty University while serving on active duty.
Ropski continues to serve in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant (E-6). She currently serves in a drilling status with the 28th Infantry Division as a Signal Operations Noncommissioned Officer.
