Ken Emmons enters his sixth year with the Mustangs, entering the 2026 season.

Emmons returns to Stevenson University with a wealth of collegiate coaching experience and a proven track record of success in offensive development, special teams coordination, and recruiting. Most recently, Emmons served at Frostburg State University from 2024–2025 as pass game coordinator, quarterbacks coach, and recruiting coordinator, helping lead the Bobcats to a conference championship and an NCAA Division III Elite Eight appearance in 2025 following an 11–3 season. In his role, he oversaw the design and implementation of the passing game, developed quarterbacks, and coordinated recruiting efforts across multiple regions.

Prior to his return to Frostburg, Emmons spent five seasons at Stevenson from 2019–2024 as special teams coordinator, wide receivers coach, and junior varsity head coach. During his tenure, he developed numerous All-Conference performers at wide receiver and on special teams, while consistently producing one of the top return units in the conference. His 2023 special teams unit ranked first in the MAC in kickoff return average and among the top 20 nationally, while also finishing among the national leaders in blocked kicks. Emmons also played a key role in program operations, including coordinating JV game management, organizing travel, and contributing to opponent scouting and game planning.

Emmons began his collegiate coaching career at Frostburg State from 2016–2018, serving as a graduate assistant and wide receivers coach. During that time, he helped guide the Bobcats to multiple conference championships, NCAA postseason appearances, and an Elite Eight run, while mentoring All-Conference receivers and assisting with offensive game planning and film breakdown.

A former standout quarterback at Frostburg State from 2011–2015, Emmons was a three-year starter and two-time team captain. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and later completed his master’s degree in Education from Frostburg. With deep ties to the region and experience recruiting across the Mid-Atlantic, Emmons brings leadership, energy, and a strong foundation in player development back to the Mustangs’ coaching staff.
