Jack Newell enters his second season as a Special Assistant to the Head Coach, serving as a trusted advisor and an additional set of eyes and ears for Coach Righter, particularly with the pitching staff.
A veteran of Baltimore baseball, Newell spent 14 years on staff at Johns Hopkins University under legendary skipper Bob Babb. Before Hopkins, he served as head coach at both Franklin & Marshall College and Millersville University. Newell began his coaching career at Manheim Township High School, where he guided the program to a 73% winning percentage. His wealth of experience and joyful personality make him an invaluable resource for the Mustang program.
