Zachary Wilcox enters his first year as assistant coach for the Mustangs, come the 2026-27 season.
Wilcox returns to Stevenson as a coach following a decorated four-year career as a member of the Mustangs men's golf program. A two-time MAC Commonwealth Golfer of the Year, Zachary captured two MAC Commonwealth Championships and earned First Team All-MAC Commonwealth honors in 2024 and 2026.
As a junior in 2025-26, Wilcox won the MAC Commonwealth Championship with a two-round score of 144 (E), earning MAC Commonwealth Golfer of the Year, First Team All-MAC Commonwealth and Academic All-MAC honors. He was also named MAC Commonwealth Golfer of the Week on April 21, 2026, and earned MAC Academic Honor Roll recognition. He recorded 18 sub-80 rounds in 21 rounds, including 10 in 12 spring rounds, and carded a round-best 68 (-4) at the Camp Lejeune Intercollegiate after recording five birdies and an eagle. He also finished second at the Stevenson Fall Invitational with a 72 (+1) and ended the season ranked 38th regionally with an adjusted scoring average of 75.2.
During his sophomore season in 2024-25, Wilcox competed in 12 tournaments and recorded two top-10 finishes. He shot a 73-73-146 (+2) to finish ninth at the Kinder-Williams Invitational and tied for 10th at Hood's Blazer Invitational with a 79 (+7). He also tied a season-low with a 72 at the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic and finished tied for 26th at 149 (+5).
As a first year in 2023-24, Wilcox earned MAC Commonwealth Golfer of the Year, Rookie of the Year and First Team All-MAC Commonwealth honors. He competed in 11 of 12 events, recording a 75 (T9) at the Stevenson Fall Invitational and a 78 (T18) at the F&M Fall Invitational. He added three spring top-20 finishes before winning the MAC Commonwealth Championship with a career-best 68 followed by a 76 at Golden Oaks Country Club, earning a four-shot victory and MAC medalist honors.
A graduate of North Harford High School, Wilcox earned All-County honors and won the County and UCBAC championships as a senior. He also placed fifth at the 2021 MPSSAA Golf Tournament. Wilcox graduated from Stevenson with a degree in Business Administration and now returns to the program as a coach.
