Jackie Boswell announced her retirement from collegiate coaching in March of 2026 and has transitioned into a full-time administrative role within the athletics department, serving as the Associate Athletics Director for Compliance and Student-Athlete Development, and the departments Senior Women Administrator (SWA).
Boswell spent 15 years at the helm of the program, compiling 185 career wins— the most in program history. During her tenure, the Mustangs made six postseason appearances and reached several milestones, including an NCAA Second Round appearance, a MAC Commonwealth Championship, and an ECAC South Championship.
In 2014, Boswell was named MAC Commonwealth Coach of the Year. She also mentored the program's lone All-American, Sara Tarbert, who earned All-America honors from the WBCA and D3hoops.com, along with CSC Academic All-America recognition in both the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons. Under Boswell's leadership, Stevenson players earned 16 All-MAC Commonwealth selections. Tarbert was also named ECAC South Player of the Year and a three-time ECAC All-Star Team selection.
Prior to Stevenson, Boswell served as the head girls' basketball coach and athletic director at Seton Keough High School for 11 years. She led the Gators to a 235-82 record and six IAAM championship appearances, capturing the 2009 IAAM A Conference title. Her team was ranked No. 12 in the ESPN Rise Girls Basketball Rankings and won the ESPN Rise National High School Invitational in 2009. At the AAU level, her teams won five state titles and competed in eight AAU National Championships.
Boswell graduated from Virginia Wesleyan in 1995, where she was a four-year student-athlete and earned a degree in sociology.
