He also served as an assistant coach for the Bullseye Running Club's 2021 AAU National Runner-Up team.

Renner began his coaching career at Westminster High School, where he served as head girls' coach and assistant boys' coach from 1980 to 1988. During that time, he led the girls' program to the 1985 Maryland 4A State Championship and coached several relay teams that continue to hold county records decades later.

Known for his ability to develop athletes across all event areas and competitive levels, Renner brings a wealth of experience, championship success, and a proven commitment to student-athlete development to the Stevenson coaching staff.
