Gray was appointed head Cross Country and Track & Field coach for the Mustangs on July 10, 2023.
Gray comes to Owings Mills after serving as head men's and women's cross country coach and an assistant track coach at the Virginia Military Institute. While in Lexington, she mentored ten Top Ten school record performers and two Southern Conference Champions. She designed and implemented a strength and conditioning program for the distance and mid-distance athletes. She also had one NCAA qualifier, as Gavin Jenkins advanced to the national meet in the Steeplechase.
She helped to host four track meets while at VMI, including the Southern Conference Track and Field Championships.
She is no stranger to the area, as she was an assistant cross country and track coach at American University from October 2017 to December 2019. While at AU, she coached 14 All-Patriot League performers with three of them qualifying for the NCAA meet. Away from the track, she had 104 All-Patriot League All-Academic performers, five All-Academic teams from the USTFCCCA and posted the highest team GPA for any single semester at 3.77.
Prior to American, she was a volunteer assistant track and field coach at the United States Naval Academy. She worked with the long and triple jumpers, and the distance runners while working with numerous athletes as a summer cross country camp coach.
Gray has also been part of coaching staffs at Bloomsburg University, University of Southern Mississippi, University of Alabama at Birmingham and Georgia Southern.
Gray earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physical education with a minor in sports coaching from Auburn University in May 2005. She would later add a Master of Science degree in kinesiology from Georgia Southern in December 2010.
