As a sophomore (2014):  Appeared in one game with the Mustangs.  

As a freshman (2013):  Appeaered in one game in his first season with the Mustangs.

Before Stevenson: Played varsity for 4 years under head coach, Dan Sageman at Marriotts Ridge High School ... during the 2012 season he led Howard County with 59 caused turnovers and 116 groundballs ... was named to the 1st-Team All-County in 2013 and the 2nd-Team All-County in 2012 ... helped the team to the Maryland State Seminfinals in 2011 ... also played football. 

Personal: Full name is Alec Kennington Wendler ... born on March 20, 1994 in Baltimore, Maryland ... is the son of Andrew and Laurie Wendler ... majoring in Business Communications.
