Cody LaBadia

Cody LaBadia joined the Stevenson baseball coaching staff in February of 2021. LaBadia will oversee the Mustang offense as well as work directly with catchers and first basemen. 

LaBadia played first base at Southern Vermont College for Head Coach Dave Gage from 2012-2015 as well as with the Tri-County Bees from 2010-2011. While at SVC the first baseman was named a D3baseball.com All New England Region in 2014 after hitting .438 with a .607 slugging percentage. He also added 31 RBIs, and nine stolen bases that season.

The Howes Caves, N.Y. native finished as the career batting average leader at SVC while also finishing his career with the second most hits (161), and third most RBIs (114). LaBadia also earned First Team All-New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) in 2014, and 2nd Team All NECC in 2012 and 2015. LaBadia also was named team captain for the Mountaineers in 2015, leading the team to the second-most wins in program history at the time. After his college playing career, LaBadia went on to play for the Albany Athletics helping the team win a AABC World Series in 2016.

Since graduating from SVC in 2015 LaBadia has held coaching stints with Schenectady Community College, Schoharie High School, Cobleskill-Richmondville High School, and Mohonasen High School. LaBadia has also worked at All-Star Academy in Latham, N.Y. giving lessons to youth baseball players in the capital district.
