Megan Despres returns for her third season as the Acrobatics & Tumbling Head Coach for the 2027 season.
Despres went 2-5 in her second season with the Mustangs. She coached her team to break two program records after they scored a 6.58 in Compulsory Acro against Calvin University and a 5.475 in the Tumbling Quad Heat against Calvin University. That is in addition to the three records set in her first year. Stevenson scored their highest point total in their victory over Calvin in the DIII Tournament, 112.100.
In her first year of coaching in the 2024 season, Despres reinstated and reformed various elements of the team, including reinstating the team event. In 2024, the Mustangs broke the final score record and scored 200+ for the first time ever with a 210.800 against East Stroudsburg on March 28, 2024.
No stranger to Owings Mills, Despres was a top performer on the inaugural team in 2022 and 2023. Despres earned her degree in Biological Sciences with a 3.85 GPA. Despres has been named to the NCATA Academic Honor Roll in 2022 and 2023, reserved for those who attain a GPA of 3.30 or higher.
A 16-year veteran of competitive gymnastics, Despres has coached recreational, levels 2-8 and the Excel programs as Harford Gymnastics since 2015. She has served as the Summer Camp Director at Harford. She was also a competitive gymnast at Harford from 2008 to 2020.
