Stevenson University Athletics respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the information collected through the Stevenson Athletics App. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices available to users.
The App may be used by Stevenson University students, parents, family members, alumni, fans, guests, and other individuals interested in Stevenson Athletics. Certain features, including the student rewards program, may be limited to eligible Stevenson University students.
By accessing or using the App, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

Some features have additional eligibility requirements.
The student rewards program is limited to eligible current Stevenson University students and requires authentication using a valid @stevenson.edu email address.
Ticket purchases, merchandise purchases, athletics information, schedules, news, promotions, and other publicly available App features may be available to users who are not Stevenson students.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the App, we may collect the following categories of information.
Account Information
If you create an account or provide information through the App, we may collect:

A valid @stevenson.edu email address may be required to access student-only rewards features.
Rewards Information

Rewards information is used to administer the student rewards program and maintain accurate account records.
Event Attendance and Location Information
For eligible student rewards activities, the App may request access to location information to verify attendance at Stevenson Athletics events.
- Purpose of Location Data: The app may collect a student’s location when they check in to an athletic event. Location data is used solely to verify that the student is within the designated general area of the event facility and is eligible to receive attendance credit or rewards points.
- Limited Use: Location information is used only for event check-in and rewards verification. We do not use location data to track a student’s movements, monitor their location outside of event check-in, or create a continuous location history.
- When Location Is Collected: Location access is requested only when a student chooses to check in to an eligible athletic event. The app does not continuously collect location data in the background.
- General Location Verification: The app uses location information to determine whether a student is within the designated geographic area surrounding the event venue. The app does not require or use precise location information beyond what is reasonably necessary to verify attendance.
- Location Sharing: Location information is not shared or sold to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. It may be accessed by authorized Stevenson University Athletics personnel for purposes related to event attendance, rewards administration, fraud prevention, and program management.
- Retention: Location information associated with an event check-in is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to administer the rewards program, verify attendance, address disputes, and maintain appropriate program records, after which it is deleted or de-identified in accordance with applicable data-retention practices.
For example, the App may use location verification during a game to confirm attendance and award rewards points.
Location information collected for rewards verification is not intended to continuously track users outside of the applicable attendance or rewards verification period.
Parents, fans, alumni, and other users who do not participate in the student rewards program generally will not need to provide location information for rewards verification.
Users may control location permissions through their device settings. Disabling location services may prevent an eligible student from receiving attendance-based rewards.
Ticket and Merchandise Information
If you purchase tickets, merchandise, or other products through the App, we may collect information associated with the transaction, including:
Payment information may be processed by a third-party payment provider. Stevenson Athletics does not need to retain full payment card information when payment processing is handled by an applicable third-party provider.
App Usage and Technical Information

4. Location Information
Location information is primarily used in connection with the student rewards program to verify attendance at eligible Stevenson Athletics events.
When location verification is required, the App may compare a user's location with the designated geographic area of an eligible athletic facility during the applicable rewards period.
Location information collected for this purpose will not be used by Stevenson Athletics to intentionally monitor a user's general whereabouts outside of the applicable rewards verification process.
Users may disable location permissions through their device settings. However, eligible students who disable location services may be unable to receive rewards that require attendance verification.
5. Student Rewards Program
The student rewards program allows eligible Stevenson University students to earn points for attending designated Stevenson Athletics events and potentially redeem those points for merchandise, apparel, promotional items, experiences, or other rewards.
The rewards program may use a student's Stevenson email address, account information, event attendance information, location verification, points balance, and redemption history to administer the program.
Rewards are subject to availability and any additional terms communicated by Stevenson Athletics.
Stevenson Athletics may modify, suspend, or discontinue rewards, rewards values, eligible events, or other elements of the program at any time, subject to applicable policies.
6. Sharing of Information
Stevenson Athletics may share information collected through the App with authorized university personnel and service providers when reasonably necessary to operate the App and provide its services.
Service providers may assist with:
Service providers are expected to handle information in accordance with their contractual obligations and applicable privacy and security requirements.
Stevenson Athletics does not sell personal information collected through the App for advertising purposes.
Information may also be disclosed when required by law, legal process, university policy, or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, security, or property of Stevenson University, its users, employees, or others.
7. Third-Party Services
The App may connect to or rely upon services operated by third parties, including ticketing platforms, payment processors, authentication providers, merchandise providers, analytics services, hosting providers, or other technology providers.
When you interact directly with a third-party service, that provider may collect and process information according to its own privacy policy and terms.
Users should review applicable third-party privacy policies before providing information through those services.
8. Data Security
Stevenson Athletics takes reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information collected through the App against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
However, no electronic system or transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and should not share login information with others.

Access to student information is limited to authorized individuals and service providers who have a legitimate need to access that information for approved purposes.
11. Privacy of Children
The App is not specifically directed toward children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the App.
Parents and guardians should supervise children's use of the App and should contact Stevenson Athletics if they believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App.

Depending on the features you use, you may have choices regarding the information collected through the App.

When material changes are made, the updated Privacy Policy will be made available through the App or another appropriate Stevenson University communication channel.
The “Effective Date” at the beginning of this policy indicates when it was most recently updated.
