STEVENSON, Md. - The Stevenson men's tennis team (1-2) picked up its first win of the season in dominating fashion over visiting Wittenberg (OH), 7-0.
Luke Appleman and
King Nacua won in No. 1 doubles by a 6-2 score - their first win as a duo.
Brandon Nguyen and
Christian Coulson improved to 2-0 on the year after winning their No. 2 match, 6-4.
Appelman cruised to his first singles win of the year, 6-1, 6-2, while Nacua overcame a one-set deficit to win his match, 1-6, 6-4, 7-6.
Nguyen won his first singles match of the year in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3. Coulson picked up his second win of the year, 6-1, 6-0.
The Mustangs will now head to the Spring Tennis Fest in Hilton Head Island, S.C. to take on Ripon College (WI) in their first of three spring break matches on Sunday, March 15.
