Myrtle Beach, S.C. (March 14) – The Stevenson softball team opened its spring break slate at the Fastpitch Dreams Classic with an 8–0 five-inning loss to the Albion Britons softball before battling back in game two. The Mustangs put together a strong offensive effort against the Arcadia Knights softball, highlighted by a mid-game rally, but ultimately fell short in a high-scoring 12–8 contest to conclude day one of the tournament.
Game 1 vs. Albion:
Stevenson warmed their bats in the first inning, as
Rebecca Maiorano singled to record the first hit of the game. The Mustangs were quiet in the second inning, while Albion was first to strike on the scoreboard. A Britons single brought in the game's first two RBI, giving Albion the early advantage.
Albion continued to find its rhythm, adding another run in the third inning before extending the lead to 8–0 in the fourth after tallying five hits in the frame.
The Mustangs made a late push to avoid the mercy rule when

Anna Sexton (1–1) got the start in the circle, pitching 3.2 innings while recording three strikeouts on 70 total pitches.
Game 2 vs. Arcadia:
Stevenson struck first against the Arcadia Knights softball as
Sahara Ward doubled to open the scoring opportunity and later came home on a fielder's choice.
Tessa Boswell added a single, but the Mustangs carried just a 1–0 lead after the opening inning.
Arcadia answered in the second with two runs and added two more in the third to take a 4–1 advantage.
The Mustangs responded with a strong rally sparked by a single from
Emily Hamp before
Mykaela Getz delivered an RBI triple to ignite the offense. Stevenson continued the surge with three more RBI to move ahead 6–4. The Knights later trimmed the deficit, while Stevenson created another scoring chance with contributions from
Teagan Kreshik and Ward.
Arcadia ultimately pulled away in the sixth inning, scoring seven runs on seven hits to secure the 12–8 win.
In the circle,
Madison Statuto (0–1) pitched 1.1 innings, facing 10 batters and throwing 35 pitches.
