YORK, Pa. - The Stevenson women's tennis team dropped to 2-2 in MAC Commonwealth play and 7-7 overall after falling to host York by a 6-1 score.
Shelby Carter and
Ariella Stepleman fell to 10-3 on the year after dropping their No. 1 doubles match by a 6-3 score.
Sofia McCoy and
Kara Chwang dropped their No. 2 match by a 6-3 margin, while
Mackenzie Dicke and
Tiffany Njemanze dropped a close match in No. 3, 7-5.
Dicke lost a tight match in No. 4 by a 4-6, 7-5, 10-4 margin. Carter, Chwang and McCoy dropped their matches in straight sets. The lone win for the Mustangs came from Njemanze who won her match in No. 6 singles, 6-2, 6-3. Njemanze is now 4-2 on the year.
Stevenson will look to rebound in a makeup match against Albright on Friday, April 25 at 3 p.m. in Reading, Pa.
