READING, Pa. – The Stevenson men's basketball squad dropped to Alvernia on Saturday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth play.
Alvernia opened scoring on the afternoon and put away seven points until
Cameron Smith put up a layup just over four minutes in to get Stevenson on the board. The Golden Wolves then pulled away as the Mustangs tried to keep up, but Alvernia registered the led heading into half time as Stevenson trailed 15-29.
During the second the half, Alvernia kept the lead and put up 33 points whiling holding the Mustangs to 22 to snag a 37-62 win over Stevenson.
Zach Bolgert led the points column with nine on the afternoon while also leading the rebounds with 10.
Mason Jones followed with eight points while posting seven rebounds, as Kendal Seguignol netted seven points while grabbing five rebounds.
The Mustangs return home to host Messiah on Wednesday evening. The MAC Commonwealth action is scheduled for 7 p.m.
