OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Visiting York dialed long distance on Wednesday night, sinking 16 three-pointers as the Spartans (10-4, 3-0 MAC Commonwealth) defeated Stevenson (6-8, 0-3 MAC Commonwealth) 95-79 In men's basketball action.
York made 11 of its 16 three-pointers in the first half, building a 22-point lead. Stevenson kept pace in the second half, cutting the deficit to nine at 65-56 with 10:46 left in the game but could not get any closer.
Stevenson was led by
Cameron Sapienza who had 19 points on 6-for-10 shooting in the game.
Mason Jones had 18 with
Cameron Smith netting ten. The Mustangs for the game shot 46.3 percent from the field and had 32 points in the paint.
Jones and Smith each had two blocks in the contest, with Smith grabbing a team-high six rebounds.
Myles Jackson had five rebounds in the game.
Stevenson closes a three-game homestand on Saturday as the Mustangs host Albright.
