READING, Pa. – Stevenson baseball (9-14, 4-7) split with the Albright College Lions (5-17, 1-10) in Middle Atlantic Conference play on April 6. The final scores were 5-2 for the Mustangs and 5-4 for the Lions.
GAME 1
The Mustangs' first run started it off early in the top of the first on a single base hit from junior outfield
Dalton Reinhart, allowing sophomore outfield
Graham Sears to score who had doubled earlier.
Although the Lions overtook the Mustangs temporarily, SU was able to tie in the top of the sixth on a sacrifice fly from senior infield
Ryan Lassiter, allowing Sears to secure the second run.
In the top of the ninth, the Mustangs' three runs secured their lead, first on a single from sophomore catcher
John Padousis. Earning two RBI, the base hit allowed junior outfield
Zack Majeski and junior infield
Brady Bedway to return home. Senior
Jason Labrador struck out five on nine hits and two runs with 6.1 innings pitched. Sophomore
Brendan Phillips secured his third win with 2.2 innings pitched.
Sears had a pair of runs and hits. Reinhart topped the team with three hits, while Padousis added two RBI in the victory.
GAME 2
Despite the Lions grabbing an early game run, the Mustangs managed to take a lead in the top of the second. A double from sophomore outfield

In the top of the third, a third run for the Mustangs came from Reinhart on a single from Manco.
By the top of the sixth, the Mustangs answered a temporary tie by the Lions with a single from Reinhart, allowing sophomore outfield
Cory Hatcher to score. Despite the strong effort, an end of game walk-off sacrifice fly secured the win for the Lions.
Manco had two RBI, three hits and a walk on three at bats. Reinhart and Padousis added a pair of hits. First-year
Jake Treasure struck out eight on 10 hits and four runs for 7.0 innings pitched.
The Mustangs finish their series against the Lions tomorrow, April 7, with a 2 p.m. first pitch at Owings Mills East Campus.
