STEVENSON, Md. - The Stevenson women's tennis team picked up its fourth-straight victory in its MAC Commonwealth opener over Hood, 8-1.
Torrienne Emery and
Shelby Carter dominated their No. 1 doubles opponents by an 8-2 score - giving them their fifth win of the year.
Kara Chwang and
Sofia McCoy picked up their first win as a duo in No. 2, 8-3. Stevenson won in No. 3 via default.
Carter cruised to her sixth win of the year, 6-1, 6-1, while
Erin Saunders picked up her second win of the year in straight sets, 7-5, 6-3.
Mackenzie Dicke and
Samantha Zudov picked up their first wins of the year by scores of 6-2, 6-2 and 6-0, 6-1. The Mustangs won in No. 6 singles via default.
Stevenson (4-5, 1-0 MACC) continues its conference slate in a road match against Messiah on Saturday, April 13 at 1 p.m.
