OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Stevenson baseball (8-10, 3-3) ended the third game in the series against the Widener Pride (6-11, 2-4) short in Middle Atlantic (MAC) conference play on Sunday afternoon. The final score was 10-9.
Despite an early game error, the Mustangs managed four runs by the bottom of the first inning. A single from junior outfielder

Brady Bedway secured the fourth run with Reinhart going home on the play.
Although the Pride surpassed the Mustangs in the top of the fourth, the Mustangs found a run in the bottom of that inning when Sears doubled, allowing Bedway on base to score.
In the bottom of the fifth, the Mustangs secured three runs. Two arrived on a single from Bedway as he took second on the throw. This allowed sophomore outfield
Kaige Garrity and Reinhart to score, taking the lead. The eighth run arrived shortly after on a single from Sears, allowing junior infield
Brandon Perillo to score.
Despite a mid-game push to take back the lead, the Mustangs managed a ninth run in the bottom of the eighth inning when Garrity doubled, allowing Tamberino to reach home.
Although the loss was a close one, the Mustangs were led by Bedway, who had three RBI on run one, two hits, and five at bats. Reinhart and Sears each secured two RBI, while Sears managed three hits and Reinhart had two on two runs.

The Mustangs will host an exhibition against the College of Southern Maryland on Tuesday, March 26 at 3:30 p.m. before returning to NCAA play on Wednesday, taking on the College of Mount Saint Vincent, both at East Campus.
